Mystic Monday – Worldwide Stamps From A to Z: AUSTRIA!

It’s Mystic Monday! Today, we’re starting a new series of posts showing worldwide stamps from A to Z. Let’s kick things off with AUSTRIA. Pictured here are the country’s first two Semipostal stamps, issued in 1914. Interestingly, while their face values are 5 and 10 Hellers, they were actually sold for 7 and 12 Hellers, respectively. The extra 2 Hellers went towards the creation of a fund for war relief. What’s your favorite “A” country stamp?
