World War II USO Cover Helps Soldier Stay in Touch with Home


The United Service Organization (USO) does a lot to support our soldiers. That includes making sure they can send mail home without worrying about postage. Here’s an example of a USO cover sent during World War II from Camp Lee, Virginia, to New York. Notice the handwritten “Free” in the upper right corner and the USO handstamp on the reverse side of the cover.
